Guide a superhero to victory
Jet Man 3D is a free platform game themed around superheroes. Jetman is faced with a gang of rogues that he must zap to oblivion, and he is aided along the way by his powers of flight.
There is no shortage of superhero games today, from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 to Iron Man 3. Jet Man 3D offers a pared-down, casual approach to the genre with an accessible game that small children can enjoy. In Jet Man 3D, you will take control of a superhero who seems to have been based on Marvel's Iron Man.
An automatic-running platformer
Jet Man will automatically run through the level. Your job is to make him jump into flight mode when he passes a launchpad, as well as fire energy blasts at passing enemies until he reaches the goal.
2D gameplay in a 3D setting
Despite its title, Jet Man 3D is not a true 3D game. Although it uses 3D backgrounds, the actual gameplay is solidly 2D as you run left to right. The enemies you encounter along the way will start as generic gunmen, but you will encounter tanks and bosses that are again cribbed from Marvel. They look remarkably like Captain America.
A simple platform game
The graphics in Jet Man 3D are not especially polished, although the 2D backgrounds add a little flare. The characters are reasonably good-looking, even if they are clearly swiped from Marvel. There is no sound or music in the game, which makes the overall experience seem a little unfinished.
A game for younger kids
Jet Man 3D appears to have been designed with small children in mind. The levels are short and the challenge very limited: all you need to do is press the screen at the right time to take off or zap an enemy, and the slow pace means it is easy to do so before Jet Man runs into trouble.
